I am still here

I'm sure no one was on pins and needles wondering what happened to me, since most of the people who read this actually know me in real life or online. Any how, on August 14th, I gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl. Little Miss was 7 lb, 11 oz, and 19.5" long. She has dark hair, and looks a LOT like my own baby pictures, and her brother's. Except for the dimples. She definitely has dimples, and I definitely never have. Neither has her brother.

Flash forward a month, and I am finding it difficult to do much of anything around the house in the hours after 1 pm or so. Little Miss is fine in the morning, and happy to nap in her swing. However, by 1 pm, she does not want to be put down. It doesn't matter if she's asleep or not - any attempt to lay her down will be met with crying, which will become frantic if she is not picked up soon enough. This means I am spending more time online than I had been in previous weeks. Unfortunately, it is challenging to type with only one hand, so I am mainly just reading. I am enjoying catching up with my favorite blogs, which I've been neglecting for the past 4 weeks. Sometimes, LM will fall soundly asleep sometime after 10 pm, and then sleep for several hours. Tonight seems to be one of those nights. I was actually successful in getting her to lay in her bassinet for the first time in a couple of weeks! Without waking up! Hence the blog post - I can actually use both hands to type with at the moment, as all 3 of my typing teachers taught me!

***Note to self: Make sure to DO STUFF before noon!!! Do not sit around checking emails! There will be PLENTY of time for this after 1 pm! Do the chores first, then the fun stuff.***

Congratulations!

Does she like being in a carrier? I used to pop the kids in one and do the chores that way. It seemed to be the only wat that I could get anything done.

Hey Jen! Congratulations!!!

I totally hear you about the one-handed thing...I've started returning my emails with phone calls just because it's easier to do with one hand!! (:

And you just reminded me with that backpack post that I need to bug Ms Grosgrain about a winner for that giveaway...I haven't heard anything yet, but have the backpack ready to go!
